Kimberly Morris (Morris Kim) is a professional at nothing (her exact words), but dabbles in a little bit of everything. She’s a 41 year old mom of a “very tall mouse “, the phrase she lovingly uses to reference her son, and imagines them living as millionaire lotto winners, but refuses to purchase a ticket.
Kimberly is a Virtual Independent Contractor, host for the KimzWimz Radio Show part of the Verb Radio Network, Pinterest Board Coordinator for Brisbane’s A Little Bird: things to do for kids & bubs and Black Bird Magazine, owner of What I Like Creations and volunteer.
Kimberly’s interests are doing whatever works for the moment, from playing video games and watching The Office to researching earthquake activity and blasting companies who take advantage of senior citizens. She says things like “Oh my BOB”, “I don’t claim to know anything, but I know what I know” and sometimes curses excessively.
She does not like bugs and is fearful of animals with eyes on the side like horses and rabbits. She wants to own pets, but does not want the responsibility so she just claims pets that belong to other people.
When it comes to crafts she enjoys creating unique, fun items for others; jewelry, gift baskets, bridal bouquets, and toiletries just to name a few. This same passion can be found in her writing style which she considers a bit wild and cheeky at times.
I’m Nina. I’m the Social Media Artist for Black Bird. Im 33 y.o. I’m an artist, guitarist, singer, song-writer, and lyricist. I currently live in Los Angeles. I love producing music and art. I think I’m just a muse with wanderlust!
My photography and videos have been described as conceptual, expressive, and having a musical rhythm. I must say that I agree. I do think that my emotions have played a huge role in shaping the tone of my work. Which I think is why I like to create visual imagery that is abstract because I feel it represents the chaotic stream of feelings sometimes. I enjoy producing art that is “moving” which is why making videos allow me to incorporate music.
One of my favorite hobbies is sitting back and reading graphic novels like Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I occasionally like classic horror film such as Tales from the Crypt. I love literature and poetry and really enjoy authors like Osacar Wilde, Edgar Allen Poe, and Dostoevsky. One of my biggest inspirations are the Muppets by Jim Henson. I love traveling, the outdoors, and sailing.
I have a free spirit which is why I view life as a continuous exploration and I have an eternal enthusiasm that makes the unknown exciting.
I am so excited to be a part of Black Bird!
Alessandra was born in Castellammare di Stabia, a lovely town near Naples in south Italy. She took her Bachelor Degree in Translation Sciences (English, German and French) in Naples and then moved to Rome to take her Master Degree. She started to work in tourism and events in a very famous tour operator based in Sorrento, the heart of the Amalfi Coast. After a year she realised that she wanted to widen her horizons and decided to get as much experience abroad as possible. She then moved and worked in Germany at DAAD, a company which promotes events and cultural exchanges in the whole Europe. A new adventure was waiting for her to be grasped: working in the music business. As an assistant manager in an indie record label (Overlook Italia based in Rome) she had the chance to engage with many artists and musicians and to visit many different countries all over the world (Israel, Us, South Africa, Russia, the whole Europe, Kazakhstan, Dubai). In those three years she gained invaluable experience in managing events, concerts and music publishing. But Italy wasn't enough for her so she decided to take on a new challenge and go to work in Doha (Qatar) as an event coordinator of the Brookings Doha Center Energy Forum 2013. She is now in London, eager to explore all the exciting opportunities that this city offers!
