Black Bird History

A homegrown Iowa business, Black Bird Magazine is inpsired by and loves artists around the world. We publish online, bi-monthly, providing thought-provoking art, poetry, short stories and more! Hard print copies are also available upon request.

Black Bird Magazine, the brainchild of Paige Rothfus and Moses Powell Eckstein, came to life in early 2012. Writers and artists themselves, they sought to bring the world a publication that stimulates people to realize their dreams of recognition. They hoped to discover incredible artists and writers around the world, and bring their creations to the public eye.

Since then, Black Bird has been growing and working on its mission. The magazine has published hundreds of works by talented contributors.

How Can I Get Involved?

Have you always dreamed of writing for a major publication? Love the arts? This may well be an opportunity for your own discovery. Black Bird is currently searching for talented article writers.
