What is the Creative Writing Guild?
We are a group of creative writing enthusiasts who believe the best route to success in writing is to congregate with other writers. Through workshop we develop our own skills and offer powerful suggestions to other authors.
The club meets on the Ankeny DMACC campus on Thursdays between 5:30 and 7:30 pm in the building 5 student lounge.
Workshop Etiquette
- Respect - Treat other writers' work with the same respect you would want them to show to your work.
- Read as a Writer - Your focus should be on craft, not on theme or symbolism.
- Content - There are no restrictions on content. However, if you believe something in your writing may be offensive to other writers, add a warning to your submission.
