Section I: Work and Submission Copyright Policy: The author/artist/creator of any work submitted to Black Bird Magazine understands the following terms and conditions of submission and if read understands the terms of submission of any form of art, writing, video or other information for publication in Black Bird Magazine:
When you submit to us, Black Bird Magazine reserves the right from the time the artist/writer submitted the work to publish said artwork, writing, photography, and any other submissions of any medium and kind that we receive from the artist/writer in the publication Black Bird Magazine, on our website, in our newsletter, on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube or any other social media platform, as well as in printed hard form for use in Black Bird Magazine books, booklets, ads, flyers or any other kind of material for use on bulletin boards, college campuses, coffee shops, libraries, shops and in any other public place. We reserve the right to use any personal photos and artist/author bio information you submit to us on our website, social media platforms and in the magazine for publication at any time now or in the future; our rights do not expire. You are free to use work that you have submitted to Black Bird Magazine in any other publication that you choose in the future, but we reserve the rights to publish your submissions digitally or in print form without limit (except as fine art prints for sale) and at any time now and in the future unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both Black Bird Magazine and the other pertinent party.
Section II: Identity Privacy Policy: Unless your preferred pseudonym is specially arranged with us before publication, we reserve the right to publish your name and any biographical information you have previously released to us as publishable. We understand that your identity and affiliation is important to you, therefore a pseudonym can easily be added at any time during your dealings with us. This pseudonym will take effect on any magazine/newsletter issues published after it was requested, and on any live website material such as biography pages etc., however it will not take effect on past magazine/newsletter issues.
Section III: Privacy of Information Policy: We will never disclose information about you that you do not provide your permission for us to publicize. When you submit information to Black Bird Magazine you are granting us the right to use that information for publishing purposes. Whatever information you submit to us with your permission to publish such as a biography, you give us the rights to publish in Black Bird Magazine, any of its affiliates and brands and on any social media platform and public platform. Black Bird Magazine promise NEVER at any time to sell, rent, or share your email address, phone number or other private personal information with ANYONE, ever without your explicit permission. This we guarantee.
